Small Business Workshops
Small Business Workshops are provided through a partnership of the South Dakota Department of Labor, the South Dakota Department of Revenue & Regulation, the Small Business Development Center and the Small Business Administration.
Business owners are encouraged to attend this one-day event provided at no charge to learn about available services and programs. DOL will provide insight into South Dakota's labor and employment laws, the workers' compensation and unemployment insurance systems, and employment services provided by DOL's local offices.
The Small Business Development Center and Small Business Administration will update attendees about their no-cost, business consulting services for new and existing businesses. The Department of Revenue & Regulation will discuss issues with sales and use tax along with contractors' excise tax.
